BETITEX - Development of sustainable textiles against bugs

BETITEX is a Research & Development Project which aims to obtain textile materials protecting humans against ticks and bedbugs.

It started on 1st November 2013 and lasts 36 months. It is cofounded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement nº 606517, with a total budget of 1.560.604 €.

It is coordinated by GREMI TÈXTIL DE TERRASSA from Catalonia (Spain) leading a consortium of 11 partners: 3 textile associations (ATEVAL, CLUTEX and TEXCLUBTEC); 3 technological centers (INOTEX, LEITAT and TECNALIA); 4 SMEs (GEM’INNOV, LA INDUSTRIAL ALGODONERA, NILKA and SILK&PROGRESS).
